Our Honored Vets United was founded by a veteran for the purpose of rehabilitating veterans and first responders to fight
against child sex trafficking within our communities and as a nation.
Through the monthly membership program, we will provide our members with education, training, and opportunities to combat mental illness in the veteran community by focusing on lifestyle changes, character building, and leadership development. Veterans who are equipped and prepared through our program will then be eligible to sign up for a leadership grant.
30% of all funding will be incorporated into constructing rehab centers for survivors of sex trafficking. We will also assist local law enforcement with funding for education, training, and equipment to better address the issue in our communities.
In 2019 the VA released a report showing that more than 60,000 veterans have died by suicide between 2008-2017. The average rate of suicide within the veteran community is 17-21 a day. We aim to lower the rates of not only suicide, but drug addiction, and homelessness.
The International Labour Organization (ILO) estimated in 2017 that 4 million children are being exploited and sex trafficked at any given moment and according to HuffPost.com 1.2 million children are trafficked every year.
